This is starting to make me wonder if I signed up for the wrong television provider.

While a bunch of Dallas Mavericks games will be broadcast in high-def on Mark Cuban’s HDNet channel this season, for some reason, Verizon is unable to broadcast them.

I found this out when I fired up my TV last night, eager to catch the pre-season tilt between the Mavs and Spurs.

Instead, I got Dan Rather interviewing the Dalai Lama. Um, no.

According to the HDNet Web site:

Unfortunately, due to technical reasons, Verizon is unable to carry the Mavericks games in Texas. Please contact Verizon with any further questions.

You know what? I think I will bring that up with Verizon today.
