I went to the Knox Street Apple Store at 6:15pm and was pleased to find no line snaking around the building. There were two employees holding the door open for the customers and the store was quite full, but very orderly.
A nice Apple employee was standing near the door handing out Leopard tshirts to anyone who walked in the door.

Almost every employee I saw had a handheld scanner to check out the throngs.
It was a most pleasant experience. Well handled by Apple.

Now I can spend the weekend upgrading mine and my wife’s laptops with the
shipping version of Leopard. The family pack (5 seats for $199) is a great deal.

For those who really want to have Mac OS 10.5 tonight the four local Apple stores are open until 10pm tonight and they have plenty of copies of Leopard available.

I did hear from one friend that he was approximately number 300 in line at the Willow Bend Apple Store. Now that’s a party.
