The tiny Eee PC (really, a laptop), has been getting a lot of hype after it officially went on sale this week.
Basically, the device has a 7-inch screen and comes in three low-price configurations ranging from $299 to $399 (Asus says a $199 model is also on the way). The laptops use only Flash memory (no hard disk drive) and can be loaded with either Linux or Windows XP.
I’ll be reviewing one of the machines next Friday in our Personal Technology section in the paper, but check here early next week for initial impressions.
