Apple watchers have been peering into the code that underlies the newest version of iTunes, and they think they’ve found support for both movie rentals and video on demand.
Apple, naturally, isn’t commenting, but it looks like the company is moving beyond the content purchase model and adding the technology needed to compete with rental services that range from Amazon’s Unbox to Netflix’s movie download service.
