Most of the software on your computer, including your Web browser, have long come with shortcuts, but Google has just begun offering them on its main search page.
Folks who do a lot of searchers should head over to the experimental search page at Google Labs and sign up for the keyboard shortcuts. (Some of the other experimental services are fun, too, but you can only sign up for one at a time.)
