I can’t tell for sure, but it looks like President Bush used some kind of ultra mobile PC or tablet PC during a press conference to talk about his proposed ‘09 budget.
I can’t remember seeing anything like that before. The CNN article notes that instead of printing 3,000 copies of the budget for members of Congress and the media, the document is simply posted online as a PDF.
I don’t think there’s any major political significance here. But I do think it’s an interesting example of how technology is proliferating.
Maybe next year’s budget gets spread out on a Microsoft Surface computer?
