The government is about to start sending out those $40 vouchers, good toward the purchase of a digital convertor box for your old analog TV.
Remember, you don’t need one if you get your TV from a cable, satellite or phone company, but if you’re still getting your pictures over the air, a converter box is the only thing that will keep your TV from going dark next February.
Big retailers like Wal-Mart are just beginning to stock the boxes, which go for about $50 and will cost folks all of $10 after the coupons.
