Engadget passes along word that Circuit City has kicked off the “everything must go” HD-DVD fire sale, with a $50 price drop on the HD-A3 player.
The 1080i player comes with seven free movies for a mere $99.
If you’re really determined to own a piece of brief gadget history, though, the price drops will probably get even more dramatic in the next month or so.
And garage sales will likely be littered with $10 HD-DVD players this summer.
