At the start of football season, we defected from Dish Network satellite television to DirecTV for a special it was running on service and DVRs. Additionally, DirecTV promised free American Express gift cards.
But I didn’t like DirecTV as well from the start. The deal-breaker for me was that whatever TV you recorded a show on, you were wedded to that TV for watching the show later. In other words, record something on the family room TV, and you can’t see it on the bedroom TV like you can with Dish Network.
