Using current technology, HD video requires at least twice that much bandwidth, but Big Blue shattered those records during a demo at the National Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas.
IBM’s accomplishment, which was reported by PC World, sounds pretty wonky. It has major potential benefits, though. It could let most Americans get HD video with existing Internet connections or making every office computer capable of HD video conferences.
