
CNN apparently thinks that’s the sort of thing online newsreaders want to buy.
Check out the screenshot above or go to CNN.com, and you’ll see a little t-shirt icon next to some of the headlines in the Latest News column on the right.
Click on the shirt and it takes you to a screen where you can buy a shirt with that headline emblazoned on it.

This has to be the most bizarre idea I’ve ever seen to drive Web traffic, but hey, if it works, please consider an official DMN Tech Blog shirt, crafted from the finest Egyptian cotton displaying my latest witty post hand-drawn by Italian artists. Yours for only $19.95.
UPDATE: I suspect this feature won’t be around for long, but it turns out that if you change the words in the URL in the t-shirt store, you can put any headline you want on the shirts, and still have the official CNN logo show up.
