And you thought the MacBook Air was expensive…

The new $109,000 all-electric Tesla Roadster is now available for purchase at the first dealership in Santa Monica, California, and apparently Tesla is trying to recreate the Apple vibe:

“The Apple stores have worked out well. It’s a fantastic consumer experience,” [Tesla CEO Elon] Musk told AutoWeek. “We wanted a nontraditional automotive experience, and we have it.”

I guess that’s why the Tesla FAQ page assures potential buyers that, yes, you can plug your iPod into the Roadster.

No word on whether you can charge your iPod by plugging it into the Roadster’s motor, though.
