Asus’ Eee PC 900 (with a larger screen than the original Eee) goes on sale next week, and Asus was kind enough to send me one early to review.
When I tested the original model it came with Linux only, but Asus is now offering a choice of either Windows XP or Linux.
I opted for the XP model, just to see if the experience was better or worse than the Linux offering.
Of course, since I booted up the 900 this morning, I’ve been letting the machine go through the obligatory Windows Update grind that every PC owner has experienced when firing up their new computer for the first time.

My official review is scheduled to run next Friday, the 16th, but I’ll be posting on here about my experiences up until then.
And feel free to chime in with any questions and I’ll let you know what I find.
