3d.jpg If you’ve downloaded the latest version of Google Earth, gone to Disney World and been unable to find the glorious 3D rendition of the park I just raved about, there’s an easy fix.

Go to the layers section of the sidebar (pictured here) and check the box that states “3D buildings.” Google Earth does not leave that box checked by default because the models require so much computing power and memory.

If you’re looking at Google Earth and you don’t see a sidebar, look at the top of your screen and click the button that has a picture of a screen-shaped rectangle, divided by a vertical line.

Once you’ve activated the 3D buttons position yourself over the Magic Kingdom, as close to the ground as you can get. Then move your mouse to the compass at the top right of your screen. Click and hold on the top of that compass. This changes your angle of view from looking down from straight overhead to looking out as if you’re standing on the ground.
