I mentioned a while back that Dell was getting ready to drop the axe on its line of computers with Windows XP pre-installed instead of Vista.

Well, it looks like the governor’s call got through to Round Rock in time for the Dell XP computers to avoid execution until at least this Thursday.

Could there be another reprieve coming for the plucky little OS that refuses to die?

I wouldn’t be surprised.
