The folks at Texas Instruments have been working for the past couple years on a clever solution to the size limitations of cellphone screens: built in projectors.

They’ve been showing off prototypes at trade shows for more than a year, but this one is far smaller than any I’ve seen before.

As the folks at CrunchGear note in the post that accompanies this video, this isn’t a working Curve with a projector built into it.

TI stripped all the normal innards out of the shell, so the projector essentially takes up the entire volume of the phone. That stated, earlier prototypes were much bigger still, so even though work remains, TI is clearly making some progress here.
