I forgot to mention this yesterday, but as I was driving in to work Monday morning, I ran into a traffic jam on I-35 southbound near Parkland hospital.
As I sat motionless in my car, I decided to give the Dash Express a real-world test.
In addition to a GPS connection, the Dash also can connect to cellular and Wi-Fi networks to get real time info on things like traffic conditions.
Sure enough, when I fired up the Dash in my car, it showed a solid red line on the highway where I was sitting, indicating a bad traffic jam.
Zooming out, though, the Dash indicated that the traffic problems were cleared up about a mile or so ahead, so I decided to stay on the highway and see if the device was accurate.
Sure enough, once traffic started to move again, the jam quickly cleared up and I was on my way.
Very impressive.
