It’s not often I get a call from Dallas Water Utilities at work, but today I did and found out DWU is doing it’s part to encourage the youth of North Texas to save water.
The water utility’s mascot, Dew Drop, has his own Facebook and MySpace pages.
Feel free to “drop” by and perhaps extend a friend request to Dew Drop.
On his Facebook page, Dew Drop lists his interests as,
Environmental sustainability, water conservation, saving other drops of water like me by teaching individuals how to conserve water at home and outdoors, dancing and practicing my signature moves (my press secretary does all the talking, so I have to use interpretive dance and movements), modeling for Dallas Water Utilities events, commercials and marketing materials, I also dabble in Water-Wise gardening, my garden of native Texas plants would turn Martha Stewart green with envy, the Society for the Prevention of Creepy Talking Mascots
How can you not love that.
Steer your kids that way if you’d like them to learn a little something about saving water.
