I was all jazzed to watch the U.S. men’s basketball team confront the Greek squad on tape delay tonight, but when I fired up a certain news site (okay, dallasnews.com) this morning, the final score was already plastered on the middle of the homepage.

Kind of sucked the wind out of my sails.

It seems like we ran into this same problem four years ago in Athens, but I guess most news organizations are still struggling to find the right balance between live updates and not ruining things for people who want to see the competitions unfold in real time, even if they are tape-delayed.

Oh, well.
