Don’t believe everything you read.

Bloomberg mistakenly published an obituary of Apple’s Steve Jobs yesterday.

Of course it was promptly retracted, but not before the document was published on Gawker.com. To be fair, the document is obviously formatted as a draft obit, with all sorts of relevant details left blank to be filled in when the Great Oz actually expires.

So I don’t think anyone would have been fooled into thinking El Jobso had actually gone to that great Genius Bar in the sky.

Still, I’m sure it was a bit of an awkward afternoon at Bloomberg.

I wonder what Jobs himself thought of the document?
