HTC Touch HD smart phone reported to have incredible screen resolution

In a handset just a few millimeters bigger than an iPhone, the Windows Mobile-based HTC Touch HD will reportedly boast a screen resolution of 800 x 480.
The iPhone, by comparison, has a resolution of 480 x 320.
That’s an impressive upgrade, and the other specs under the hood sound equally robust (GPS, 5 MP camera, etc).
Best of all, the device will reportedly be out in time for Christmas.
That stunning screen, though, makes me wonder what kind of battery life the Touch HD will possess.
And the price will likely be… massive.
Still, that’s a heck of a screen, and I wonder if Apple matches it in January at its Macworld conference.
